    Chop saw help

So turns out MM tools just orders stuff from the manufacturer if they don't have it in stock, which they didn't even thought they said they did. Anyways, after waiting a couple of weeks I called and they said they couldn't get it so they cancelled my order. 3 weeks later my credit card that I...

    Chop saw help

The end of the shaft is round. It's 5/8. The inside flange, which I have, is keyed. I got side tracked and let this slide. I'm going to order the one from MMTools. Thanks

    Chop saw help

Thanks for the replies. I searched quite a bit and couldn't find anyone that had them. My local dealer didn't have any chop saws and won't order a different one without paying for it. I'll try the mmtools site.

    Chop saw help

I picked up an older Makita chop saw (Model 2412N) pretty cheap but didn't notice that it was missing the outer flange. Unfortunately the part is no longer available. I'm just wondering if anyone that has a different chop saw such as a Dewalt or some other brand if you could measure the flange...

    Plasma cutting tables

Has anyone used aluminum grating for their cutting table? I have access to both with the aluminum being a lot lighter to manage.

    2135timax lacking power

Resurrecting an older thread. I acquired one of these guns with a broken anvil. I have a new anvil and would like to tear the gun down, clean it up and re-assemble it. Is there a guide as to what and where to grease it on re-assembly? The metal end cone with the hammers is quite gummed up. Thanks

    Heating "2 car" garage ?

TSC has the Big Maxx 40k on sale for $499. I'm picking one up tomorrow. You can probably get one in the St. Catherines store or get Grimsby to order you one, they are out of stock.

    Electric heat question

Thanks for the replies and the electrical efficiency debate. I'm an operating engineer at a large power plant so we don't need to discuss the pros and cons of the electric heat. We also have some of the most expensive electricity in North America... thank you government for installing all those...

Installed FUH5-4 and -6 degree weather

You guys and these threads about these heaters have convinced me to go this route for my attached 2-car garage. I just built a house and it's getting cold here in Canada. I was going to go with a radiant gas heater but we may be moving in 2 years so I think it's the most cost effective way for...

    2 car garage heating opinions???

How did you come to this conclusion? Burning a cubic meter of natural gas or propane will produce enough water to be measured in pounds. It is not a myth. Most of the heat released from natural gas or propane comes from the hydrogen atom reacting with the oxygen. This produces H20, better...

Insulating garage they didn't put vapour barrier

I live in Ontario and neither of my last two houses have had vapor barrier installed in the insulated garage. Any builder I've talked to won't install it or highly recommends against it due to our climate. You are going to wake up to rusty tools and cars unless you can control the humidity...

    Mobile Garage (Trailer) flooring options

I ordered a new aluminum 6x12 enclosed trailer and would like to do something with the floor. It comes with a 'Rain Block', 3/4" plywood floor but I've seen them become very dirty and crappy looking very quickly. The trailer will be used mainly for hauling 4 dirtbikes around and I'd like to...

That looks good. Another sheet of plywood on the lower for storage would be handy. Maybe even drawers for tools. Thanks.
