    Shop hvac opinions.

You said you are thinking of running " a " home furnace with ductwork. If that means a residential style furnace with it's own duct system it should work fine if it is a higher efficiency model that uses outside air for combustion; if not gas fumes could be an issue. If you meant to extend the...

    Compressor switch HELP

I wired mine the way Rookie 2 said. I mounted the fan in the wall as an exhaust fan, built a 4' x 4' room around the compressor, insulated the room with mineral wool sound deadening insulation, and installed a 20 x 20 x 2" pleated furnace filter in the door. I know this is kind of late but on my model J's I use a submersible electric coolant pump. It turns on with the motor. I don't remember what brand they are because they have been there for 20 years. I used a motor starter with a remote on/off button. When the saw settles after cutting an...

How did you decide on the size of what you built?

When I wanted to buy a project truck and parts truck to work on in my old shop my wife said I couldn't park anything in the yard or driveway. She then proceded to point out that i didn't build it big enough. The next week I casually showed her a ruogh sketch of a 800' addition. She said "is that...
