    Summit racing excellent service

I ordered some turbo tubing on E-bay,through summit last night at 8 30.I looked out the front window at 8 15 this morning, and fedex was dropping off the box from Summit. I live about 2 hours from Summit, but I never expected overnight shipping.especially on Saturday.;)

    Core support spot welds

I have had really good luck with the Harbor freight cutters.I run them slow and get lots of use out of them. You must be abusing them if you broke that many.I have even used the HF cutters on a Blair mandril. If you use a 3/8 bit you are going to have a hard time making neat plug welds on that...

What type paint for interior OSB??

I went to "Ollie's bargain outlet" and bought 5 gallon buckets of "antique white" latex. I did all walls and ceiling with a wagner power painter and a roller. The roller was actually as fast as the sprayer.I used no primer, just put it directly on the OSB. my garage is 28x36 and I don't recall how...

How can some of you guys tolerate a cluttered shop?

When I don't have anything to work on,I try to clean up and organise, but that doesn't happen very often.I don't have any problem tolerating a cluttered shop, but I do have a shed for mowers and lawn tools, and I built a lean-to on the back of the garage to store parts, wheels, tires etc. Also,a shop...

    The Harbor Freight PASS/FAIL Thread...

I buy quite a bit of stuff from HF.I personally would be hesitant to buy anything that plugs in and is left unatended for long periods of time. I don't think this is something I would "cheap out" on.

Pics: before, during, & after. Shows how Vinegar & Salt works.

I was wondering if anyone had tried using this solution in a crockpot. I am a big fan of electrolisis, have done lots of parts this way,but my garage isn't heated unless I am there,so I don't do any electrolisis when it is 5 below zero.I have some small parts that have some pitted rust I would...

    Port a Power units

A friend of mine bought some shelving at an auction at a long closed service station.I went the next day to help him load his truck, and there was a porto-power cabinet like the one pictured loaded with rams, pumps and just about every kind of porto-power accessory available.even manuals. The guy...

How many Harbor Freight tape measures...

I have 3 or 4 laying around at all times. I don't have to look too far to find one. The only problem I have had with them,is that the edge on them is quite sharp, and will cut your fingers if you are not careful.I don't give them as gifts.

How many of you have a hand held bandsaw?

I bought a porter-cable large capacity porta band at a Florida pawn shop for $100.It was slightly used, but was in the box with all papers. This is the most used tool in my shop.I have'nt touched the chop saw since I got it. This saw and my HF combination disc-belt sander have really improved my...

    Electric cut-off tool

I have 2 of the HF electric cutoff tools. I just used one today, cutting down a seat frame for my T-bucket.I bought one off the discount rack, and one on sale for 19.99. The secret is to take them apart and bypass the reset button.Very simple to plug the 2 wires together,it only takes a few...

    The Harbor Freight PASS/FAIL Thread...

I bought the "industrial"model with the paddle switch,I think it was on sale for 19.95. It seemed a little noisey when I first tried it,so I took the gear case apart and found just a little dab of grease in there.I packed it with wheel bearing grease and have used the hell out of it for several...

    The Harbor Freight PASS/FAIL Thread...

I bought 2 of them, one on "clearance"and one on sale. Before you use it,take it apart and bypass the reset,by plugging the wires together.only takes a few minutes, and actually makes the tool usable.

    $30 or under angle grinder

I bought the H F "industrial" angle grinder, because it has a paddle switch. It seemed a little noisy,so I took out the 4 screws that hold the gearcase together, and there was just a dab of grease in there.I packed it with good grease, and have used it for a year or so.It is nice and quiet now.
