    Hopefully it will work for you. If not it may give you an idea how to make one for the burner you have. 400 miles in the winter is not fun.

    Drill hole in exact center of sq tubing + come out in exact center on other side?

    You can use a 1/4" plate as a jig if it is made accurately. Test jig for accuracy first on a scrap piece . Drill 3 holes, put tight fitting pins in the two outer holes. Twist jig until pins hit the sides of the tube and center punch or drill pilot hole.

    Thanks for letting me know the color. I am going to save that in my notes for later reference. I like to keep notes that way when a project comes up, I can go back. I don't do enough big projects to use a whiteboard yet.

    I can't help with the DRO. The old Cincinnati Milicron that I used to use had punch tape and Nixie tubes. This thing had 8 reed switches that read a row of 8 holes at a time when the tape ran through. I have used this Calculator for bolt holes if you want to enter them manually...
