One more question - I think I've heard that the filter should be a minimum of 25 ft run from the compressor. I have a spare 25 ft hose, so could I coil that up next to the compressor and put the filter right after the hose?

I'm curious if the compressed keyboard cleaner spray would work for installing bearings if it was sprayed on the shaft. Is that stuff cold enough to cause the shaft to contract? I figure spraying that while heating up the bearings would make for an easy install. I'm sure this has probably been...

I'm also probably overthinking this. I'll probably just put in a shut off valve coming directly from the compressor.

I would have a flexible hose going from the compressor to the hard line, and then more flexible hose going from the hard line to hose reel/cabinet. That's the plan anyway.

With the way the handle is on my air compressor my filter only fits horizontal and not vertical. Just wondering if that is okay for the filter, or do I need to figure out a different solution.

I was a bit side tracked with other projects, but I finally finished the grinder. Huge thank you to MattBlast for the beautiful new label. New Nachi bearings and I used lexan for the eyeshields.

Thank you! I'm trying to decide if I should clean them up or leave the grease and oil on them from his use. He was a farmer, welder and repaired International/Case tractors. I've had them for about four years now and just can't bring myself to clean them up. Opinions on this definitely welcome.
