    Reed swivel jaw price?

Haha, yeah. I didn't intend to paint the sliding surfaces but after the glass blasting I had to cover real quick to prevent it from rusting since it will be about a week before I can take the other parts to get black oxide. That will be all cleaned up! And thank you sir!

    Some air compressor questions.

Cattoon As of now (reason for the thread) I am doing alot of wire wheeling and using a Scotch Brite pad on a 90 grinder for smaller intricate spots of some of my restorations that my electric is too big to get at. RedmondJP. Well depleting the tank so quickly is what I would like to avoid...

    Some air compressor questions.

That I do not know, I'll have to look when I get home. It does keep up, I can't say there is enough of a pressure drop to hinder the performance of the tool, it's just more of a question of if this is normal. Quieting would really be nice though, how would one go about that? The grinder in...

    Some air compressor questions.

Yeah, thats the reason I try to avoid air tools and usually prefer their electric counterparts. I always thought I had issues with them because I had my Dads old busted 60g Craftsman that he had ran without oil most of the time, and usually just put trans fluid in until it finally blew the...

    Some air compressor questions.

Should this be in tools? Anyway, I have a 60g 6hp DeVibliss Pro airII compressor. Now I typically try to avoid using air tools since even with a 60g tank the thing seems to never shut off when it gets any real use whitch is typically just a 90 grinder or a cut off wheel. Yesterday I was...

I guess I should do this!

I've already have been posting a bit, but I guess I should do an intro. Soo, hello! New dude from Detroit, Mi. I'm a Jeep nut, and a CNC Laser operator to pay for Jeep habit. I've been browsing the site for a few years un registered until last week when I needed some vise advice. You guys are...

So I've had this ratchet sitting around my house for a good 10 years. So now...

    The VISES of Garage Journal

Picture from there web Site, and mine? The only thing I can see different are as you mentioned the swivel clamps, and the jaw handle has threaded knobs. Sadly I can't find any other pictures of these. There was a post here I found but can't find it again.

    Ok I'll play. Grabed this today for $32. Either it's a Bison-bial 1250-100 L or a really good copy.

    Vise ID (probably import)

Those are soo cool! Man you have alot of vises haha. Also, wouldn't be considered the Dynamic jaw then? And the static jaw being the one closest to you? Just curious. I can't tell if I would love that or hate it to use. Thats the one I found wile looking. I hope thats what is here, I'll try to...

    Vise ID (probably import)

Wow sir, thank you! After 2 seconds of serching European vises. I found Bisons look exactly like this. Whats the word on them?

    Vise ID (probably import)

Hahaha:lol: That was my exact thought. I was just thrown off by its build. My last two vises were Chinese and were a horrible visually porous cast.

    Vise ID (probably import)

I'm just curious if this thing would be worth a second look. It was next to the Reed I just nabbed from a flea market. It has no markings other than "100" on the side, so i'm assuming it is Chinese, but strangly seems built quite well. Any ideas?
