    Let's see your toolbox.

Going to school for automotive engineering technology and technical resource management at SIU... I just brought home a load of my tools to combine into my Snap-On 40". I like the box but its hard to use indoors.... I feel terrible making it into a microwave cart, but its nice having tools...

What tool do I use to crimp this?

That looks like an old bmw e30 electrical connector.... I've used a set of mini cornwell crimpers for the pins. As for the connector, if I recall properly they are push lock. On a side note, if you plan on soldering the pins use very little solder. Too much gets in the way rather quickly

    What tools for BMW's

I skipped the fan clutch wrench and went to the arm hammer add-on that matco sells to loosen those up. http://www.amazon.com/dp/B000JFJLTC/?tag=atomicindus08-20 That works amazingly on a lot of the cars that roll through the shop..... just don't use it like an idiot and it wont wreck...

Rubber Air Hoses - Manufacturer's POV

Number 2 please. I would have to agree with alot of points made regarding color choices as well. The hoses all seem to blend together when the guy next to my stall pulls out some hose.

    Heard of this company?

I think I saw that set on a cornwell truck in my area; logo looks similar.

WTF do we have to do to prevent Impact Gun overkill?

Agreed, but how many dealership trainers will say that is acceptable? To me that is a lot of things like this in society (misconceptions), so I find it easier to take the time to use a hand tool for as much as I can to avoid getting yelled over these things. Life is too short and stressful to...

    Funny ASE pictures...?

Anyone else notice some of the ASE test pictures couldn't exist (and function) in real life? For example, my last test showed a vane type pump ask me what it was but the vanes had no way to move against the shell it was in, funniest part to me was the pump was a variable displacement type. It...

WTF do we have to do to prevent Impact Gun overkill?

If I use a 60 lb torque stick and somehow got 500 ft-lbs of torque the torque wrench wouldn't move and still clicks. Highly unlikely, but understand that click doesn't always mean its right; otherwise you seem pretty dead on.

    Snap On Box Cutter ?

Same kind of thing here, bought the light with reel. Light works great, its even been submerged in a parts washer on accident and came out still lit up; the cord on the reel however is pure junk. Snap On told me too bad on a warranty attempt; it wasn't even the abused part that broke.

Foolproof ways to remove machinery tags?

If they are pop rivets, drill the center a little bit then hit the halves apart with a thin punch. Works for most rivets i've come across.
