Are these tools sourced from the US?

1/2" 6pt Impact sockets, standard/deep
Combination wrenches (Williams?)
Short combination wrenches
I bought the 14pc metric polished Long Pattern wrench set and some of the 1/2 drive impact sets (SAE and Metric). The wrenches look similar to the Williams Supercombos with the Anti Slip Design on the open end. All wrenches were stamped USA. This set came with the tool roll vs the wrench holder.

All of the impact sockets I had received were stamped USA, but not sure if Snap On or Williams . Hope this helps.

Flipping through, checking stuff out. Some odd price discrepancies. The 1/4" universal extension is sub $20, yet the 3/8" is over $60. The 7 SAE universal 3/8 sockets are below $100, but the 9 metric are 2.5x more. Maybe they don't move as many? Unfortunately, the only times I could have benefited from a universal socket were with the smaller sizes CAT doesn't sell.

I don't know why, but I thought that set of three pliers came with the Snapon long nose talon grip pliers, but I must have imagined that. Turns out I don't really need much from CAT, though it would have been awesome to know about them a couple years sooner.

Definitely the worst catalog/website combo I've ever seen. The cheat sheet of part numbers is an awesome help.

Finally received my CatFinancial rewards credits. First purchase 28Jan, second 14Feb. Had to call CatFinance directly and go through the process of emailing and sending screenshots from the app. People I spoke with are all super nice and very helpful, but their systems are obv behind the times.

End result is $200 discount off of my purchases. If I make another purchase >250 in March I can get another $100 credit out in may or june I suppose.

Would you be able to share the number you called? Went back and forth on this with no luck (although everyone I spoke with was also very nice)

I'm having the same issues with CAT Rewards.. I'll try giving them a call direct.

I picked up the 1/2" Drive Swivel Impact Sets and Ball End Hex Key Sets. All are Snap-on made, shipped from Snap-on.

CAT 14pc SAE Set = $245 vs. Snap-on 12pc SAE Set = $1,070
CAT 10pc Metric Set = $182 vs. Snap-on 7pc = $640 or 12pc = $1,045

Thanks! I just ordered those metric universals with my Cat Credit Rewards! I also hit $250 by adding some other stuff so we will see if I get another $100 in 2 months, By then the 20% will be over.

246-8199 = 10pc 1/2 metric universal set, 10mm-19mm $250 w/o discounts.
246-8184 = 14pc 1/2 SAE universal set, 1/2 - 1 5/16 338.75
or
214-6518 = 5pc 1/2 SAE universal set, 1/2-3/4 $94

261-8572 = 7pc 3/8 universals, 10-18 skips 11, 16 $292 - MORE Than the 1/2 for less PCS.
261-8581 = 7pc 3/8 SAE, 3/8-3/4 $270! damn you are paying alot for that extra 2 pcs

Customer Service was able to email my $200 worth of CAT Credits without issue. I used them for:

1/2" Drive Deep 12pt SAE Socket Set 214-1161
1/2" Drive Deep 12pt Metric Socket Set 194-3576
Combination Pliers 213-1983

Total after discount and taxes $201.43 less $200 in Credits = $1.43

Retail price for comparable sets from Snap-on (with 4 more sockets total) would have been $1342 + tax.

If anyone is looking for the Snap-on made Yellow Soft Grip pliers, here are the numbers:

3pc Set (Slip Joint, Diag Cut, Needle Nose) 233-1639 $95.60 before discount
6" Combination Pliers 213-1983 $22.60 before discount
6" Tongue & Groove 6V-6195 $35.53 before discount

I believe that will get you all that they offer in that style for $123 after discount through my local dealer. Might be a mix of Chrome and Black Oxide Finishes.

Frustrating promotion and shopping on my end. Website was extremely slow with issues, seems significantly better now. Was able to sign up for an account and apply promo code to an order. Code "successfully applied" message, however discount is not applied to CAT hand tools. Order total does not change. Dealer website lists promotion at 25% with existing account, maybe my new Joe Blow account is a no go?

Promotion ends in a couple days FYI for anyone who is still interested.

Try setting your local dealer to a different location. I used zip code 68138, because the Cat dealers nearest to me in California were not part of the promotion.

The dealership in my area has a 20% off promotion, but no code is needed. The prices on the site show the discount is already applied.2026-03-30_15-05.png
I added the highlighting. Maybe yours looks like that?

If you are looking for the snap on angle wrenches, believe CAT are the same. They both have the 30/60 degree angle that has been discussed here in the past. Snap on set for reference

There are 3 sets listed
1P-3515 this is the 14pcs set, it is also about $100 more then the two individual sets
233-1635 is the 7pcs set 3/8-3/4
233-1636 is the 7pc set 13/16-1 1/14(No 1 3/16 snap on set doesn't have one either)

The 233-1636 isn't on Western Diesel Performance side, but i find it on most USA Cat dealer sites.

If you buy both sets, with the 20% of you will spend just over~290 depending on tax etc. So you should get the CAT credit as well for future purchases.image.jpg

Snap on 21, Williams 20, Cat 19

Other than the visuals from the roll stamp, the only difference I see is the ball detent recess is about 50% bigger on the Williams.

If you are ok with the stamping difference, the Williams are a tremendous value.

Just be careful with Williams, because not everything is USA. Some of their sockets and plenty of other hand tools are off-shore these days.
