Funny that your unbreakable clamp has a big braze welding repair from a prior break. That said it’s still made stronger than the junk you can buy today.

Best of luck getting the old craftsman drill press put back together.

Making spacers for the basement handrail that hasn't been installed for twenty years.
After I installed a handrail on my back steps, I grab it every time going up and down automatically now.

I don’t think there ever was one there before, unless it was attached to the wood steps that were removed before I bought the house. The previous owner had one of the neighbors done build steps out of blocks.

Don’t you love crossing off old to do’s off the list?

I can’t imagine what it takes to keep up two homes cause my to do list for just one is usually a couple years out.
I do like a completed job.

I have a big spiral note book for each house, garage and pole barn and a white board for each. I wouldn't be able to keep track otherwise.

I looked into software like Google Tasks but I've yet to find a good replacement for the notebooks.

I'm not wealthy so I have to be a good planner and budget/save fairly far in advance.

I fixed my deathtrap back stairs last month.

Winter of '19, I fell off those making a garage beer run. I figured I was out about a half hour before I came to on a very icy 20 degree night.

I'm just getting to fixing those. I need to resurface them as I'm not going to jackhammer them out.

Getting the house ready for winter and checking off more little jobs from the list.

I'm not a fan using chainsaws but this saw was fantastic all summer. I got it cleaned out and set for storage. I don't think I'll ever go back to gas again.

Pulled out the torch to cut up some metal scrap for recycling and to free up some space in the pole barn.

My last AC had the same style cutoff switch, previously it had a Little Giant pump. I like this style better as its easy to clean out and reset.
I spied the make and model number of your switch. Rectorseal SS2.

At the day job, they install one in the overflow plan.

I like yours as it catches it at the source vs dripping thru everything to get to the pan.

Due to the humidity and constant running, in my HOA of about 75 houses and 150 condos, I never fail to see an HVAC van every workday.

All the air handlers are in the garage and I've seen many a snowbirds car and floor with damage from leaking and overflowing pans.

I think the newer switches should be required here.

I had a tall file cabinet the same footprint you have, but I got shelving instead to replace it. Like the green ones next to your 2-drawer. I like the Whirlpool Gladiator welded not knock-down cabinets and their welded wire shelving steel frame racks.

A post on Gladiator shelving reduced in depth to fit my returns of the garage walls. The modification fits my L.P. collection perfectly.

I decided I needed a drone.

IMG20260212164537.jpg

It sat for a few weeks and I had the nephew visit for last week and he decided it needed to fly.

The case looked like an 80's purse. So Harbor Freight to the rescue.

First flight was revealing!

I would have never seen that from the ground.

I've gotten more confident after about four flights and I'm glad I bought it.

Do they just come up on you from behind while watching their phone for directions?

Now you just can’t let the bike fall over on the left handlebar.
Young guy #1 was was attempting to go around me while looking at the phone, slowed down and almost turned into me trying to get into a townhouse driveway.

Young Lady #1 was just staring at her phone and blew past me with a foot to spare.

Roomba #3 got retired yesterday.

I think this was battery #5 that lost capacity.

One Amazon Sale later and I have a more modern vac.

I'm excited to see if the self emptying and mapping works better. It also mops but I'll wait and see.

The mapping is kinda neat.
