Between 265 & 485 SQ/FT Glemans Foibles in Florida

Workspaces sized between 265 and 485 squarefeet.
Hard to see but I had swans visiting this morning. The weather is turning and I'm making blans to get back to Florida.
Since I had all my stuff out from under the workbench. I decided to clean and mop the floor.
I epoxied this floor about six or seven years ago and it's been really durable. I found only one small chip in the coating. It may have me craving a Big Mac or Ruben anytime I look at it but I've haven't lost a fastener since.

I decided to move out of my garage office set up and move it into the house.
It's taken me forever to clear out the files and shred. This is still an ongoing thing.
The good news is think I can modify the current desk to be functional and not just a paper storage vault.

Btw did those racks in your garage vibe in red or did I miss the post where you painted them cause I own more than a few and most are black but I have seen a few yellow ones?

One of my fans has been waking me up with an annoying clicking noise, randomly.
This week, I took care of it.
I actually read the directions. That M12 screwdriver was fantastic for working on the ladder.
Several random spots in the powder coating but otherwise seems well made.
I was more annoyed with moving the furniture than the installation.
Bonus points for finally having a light on the ceiling!

I’m guilty of not reading all the directions on most items too but in my defense so many instructions are lacking any helpful information.
Nice work and I bet you might have needed or used a raised platform to carry the weight of the light/fan while you screwed it in. Happy to hear it’s working like it should again. Another to do scratched off!!

Did it come with the bits or do you have some to fill it? Do you sharpen your bits regularly and what method if you do?
It came with bits!
The Huot index had bits marked HS USA only and the smalls look pretty beat up. I have the same set of SKF Sweden in a crappy index which I'll only need to replace a few smalls for a full set.
I mostly do drilling for woodworking so no real sharpening needed but I'm planning on setting up a dedicated drill press for metal only. I was fortunate to get two sizable hordes of drill bits and haven't had a need to sharpen.
One of my jobs, years ago, was to sharpen slitter knives. I don't have a need for production tooling anymore so I'm not sure if sharpening is worth it to me.
Finally back in Michigan, the road trip was long but fun.
Stayed a few days with the sister, nephew and her hound.

The barn cat was happy to have us back.
We had a severe ice storm last March that left a lot of damage so cleanup should take quite a while.

I ordered a 15L ultrasonic cleaner from Amazon and they shipped me a 1.3L cleaner that was a return!
How do I know it was a return? They just put the original shipping box in a new box, with the previous customers tags still on it.
At least UPS came and picked it up off the doorstep instead of having to make a return. I looked up the drop-off locations for Amazon and the closest one is 55 miles away. Kohls(11 miles away) use to take Amazon returns but that isn't the case anymore.

Is the dock a rebuild or brand new? In our area they regulate those builds with microscopic eyes and permit costs where salmon, ducks and mosquitoes are on the committee. Good luck!!

I have two wood ones and an aluminum. What you can't see is a cement seawall running across 2/3 of the waterline about 6 in. below.
About eight years ago we did an aggressive clean-out of the natural springs causing the lake to rise about 18 in. My septic field was submerged for about two years and we had to be really careful with the water usage.
The county has been pretty lenient with changes and repairs since then but it's still has to be legal.
