I picked up one, many moons ago. Great to haveSnap-On ratchet repair tool. SPP744 For removing/installing those pesky balls under the pawl. Makes working on you ratchet alot easier.
Here below a cosmetic blackhead remover I repurposed for that same job.
Really strange. Almost like nail clippers. This video seems to imply it's for making rounded cuts that won't have sharp edges:Merry R-Cut Nipper JG695
Says it's for confined spaces where you can't get in position to do a flush cut.
Yes, my own idea was that it was for when you just want to shorten - leaving a bit for further tightening, or to permit refitting reusable ties.seems to imply it's for making rounded cuts that won't have sharp edges
It appears to be discontinued. It's not Merry's own site, just on Factory Gear Japan store's website here listed as "made to order" for $172.Vendor for the JG695? I find that nipper irresistible.
I used to keep a pair of toe nail clippers in a portable kit for cutting cable ties. Works pretty well and leaves a slight radius cut.Really strange. Almost like nail clippers.
Interesting approach.
