The Nano Wilton...
I think I speak for all of us that taking your time is certainly worth it. You are doing an incredible job on those nano bullets. If your first round of sales is not advertised on the open market, please let the few of us here know about it. Thanks.I am adjusting the action. It moves smooth. I take my time.
For now these are just pilot products but I will keep you informed when I start making production batare considering selling the castings, and not just the finished vise
Are you planning on selling the castings, or finished miniatures? I'd be interested in buying the unfinished castings as a model machining project. This is a pilot batch from aluminum bronze. This is a same alloy used for receivers in old rifles. Future vises will have steel cast bodies.
Wow! I want one. Please do let me know when you are ready to sell them. Many little holes (0.047") for #0-80 threads. Tapping operation is next.
All castings I have right now are in work. I may consider another batch of castings depending on demand. Thank you for your interest! Are you planning on selling the castings, or finished miniatures? I'd be interested in buying the unfinished castings as a model machining project.
Good idea! Thanks!Just found this thread and very interesting project!! Nice work and if you want to really get vise guys tool **** fix you might put a dollar bill next to your little vises to show the scale you making.
Well done so far!!
Nice fine details. Can i reserve 1 for me?Flat haws and serrated jaws held by #0-80 screws. The standard heads were too big so I turned it smaller.
They will surely be good looking at both.I finished making handles. There are 4-5 operation remain until mechanical work done. I should make a decision to paint or not to paint. Or I will paint a few just to look how it is. I wander black or hammered grey?
You clamed the last available vise. I have to install handles to two vises. Then I will contact everybody who asked for one. Almost finished. It was a long project. Please let us know when you are in a position to begin selling them. I'd like one.
I feel very fortunate to have made the list. Thank you.You clamed the last available vise. I have to install handles to two vises. Then I will contact everybody who asked for one. Almost finished. It was a long project.
I am starting a new project of making a miniature Wilton bullet vise. I got a real Wilton 825 vise, disassembled it, took all measurements and made a 3D model. Then 3D printed parts 1/4 of a full scale, tested that everything fits together. Next step was making silicone molds, cutting the molds and filling it with wax. It took a few nonth. Yesterday using investment casting I got a pair of bronze sets. I am goung to machine these cast parts and finally build a miniature Wilton vise. It is my first posting but I will frequently report my progress in the future.
Can't wait to see what it is!It turned to be a long project. But I tried to make things right. I even broght it to inspection to well-known maser of miniature making Paul Hamler. This project is finished. Time to make something new.
Your vise is ready. You can send me a private message and wi will finish the orderI feel very fortunate to have made the list. Thank you.
