    Tools from the old world

That's why I love my wiha screwdrivers, because you can really put some torque on them. Only thing I didn't expect is the fact you can put more torque on the microfinish than on the softfinish, never would have thought that  I once tried the microfinish at my local Hornbach, but I din't...

Which size air compressor for DIY?

By the way, all air compressors I've seen are 230v :)

Which size air compressor for DIY?

Thanks for all advise :) I haven't got the money for a large 100+ liter compressor, so that's a no-go for me. And yeah, the prices here in Europe are a lot higher for most air compressors than in the USA I think. I definately want an oil lubricated compressor for the same reason mentioned...

Which size air compressor for DIY?

There will be a 1.5hp 24 liter air compressor on sale for 55 euros (around $69). It's oil lubricated which I prefer. My question is, is it big enough or do I need a 50 liter? It will be used for DIY work, like taking flywheels and lawn mower blades off. I will also use it to do some light...

    Tools from Taiwan

The fit on the fastener is as good as my USA made Craftsman, but not as good as my Proto USA sockets.

    Tools from Taiwan

My experience with tools from Taiwan are really good. The price is often very attractive and most tools have a lifetime warranty. The chrome on sockets and extensions is often better than my USA made Craftsman. My only complain about those tools is that sockets often fit very sloppy on ratchets...

    Tools from the old world

As Dutch79 already said, the Hornbach would be great (lots of Wiha tools). An autoparts store like Broekhuizen would also be nice. They have Hazet, Kraftwerk, Beta, Knipex and even Channellock :D

    The best adjustable wrench

My favorite adjustable is by far my 1955 Proto. It has really tight jaws and it is very nice to use. It's much better than my new USA made Craftmans and my brand new Kraftwerk. Not bad considering it's 59 years old !

    Best Taiwan tools companies

Kraftwerk. It's a Swiss brand, but most of the tools are made in Taiwan (some are re-branded Gearwrench). Some tools are made in Germany though. For example, the most expensive pliers are re-branded NWS. Lifetime warranty  Here in the Netherlands it is one of the most used brands in...

    My free tool gave away

I would really like to have a Plvmb ratchet someday. But I think shipping rates from the USA to the Netherlands would be a little high :p Awsome idea to do this! I can not stand the idea of nice tools (or other things) ending up with the wrong person :(...

    who makes better sockets

I absolutely love my Proto sockets! They got really nice chrome and they fit bolts very well. I haven't got any sk tools to compare with, but I guess they would serve you great as well :)

    Suggest me a chainsaw

I don't have much experience with chain saws, but I do own three husqvarna brush cutters which I'm very pleased with. Two of these are over 20 years old and they are still very reliable and they put out a lot of power. Even after 20 years of (sometimes heavy) use, the piston and cylinder walls...
