    attic vent

Don't ask season and climate specific questions if you don't provide your region or state. If you don't have it in your sig, then provide it in your construction question.

    CLINK! Broke (another) tap. Wisdom?

I don't think I saw anything on thread percentage. Simply increasing your tap drill size is a way to decrease tap breakage. I have tapped thousands of holes many of those using cut taps in aluminum. Tap magic, yes, as well as tap blocks. Make one if you don't have one.

Anybody build a Thien Separator for their Dust Collector or shop vac?

I have integrated 3 of these in different shops and fabricated 1. I have to say that as with all dust collection make sure there is a ground wire connected thru or to and around the separator for safety.

Oscillating tool question. Fein vs. Bosch vs. Porter-Cable

Buy anything but Fein they do business as if they still have patent protection. Case in point is tooling costs $15 for 1 or plunge cut not good econ 101. Bosch and Rigid make tooling at LEAST as good for less. I use these tools every nearly day, Makita is also on my list of maybe just in case...

Interior Paint - Need to prime?

I like 2 coats on Drywall brand primer, rolled on gives you a nice subtle texture. Light sand between coats to get rid of any over sand areas.
