    I use them all the time at work. Almost always next day delivery and sometimes same day. It takes our shipping and receiving guy the same amount of time to deliver it to my bench in the same building. They have just about everything I ever need.

    How about a Townhouse with an attached 2 car garage? The association does all the outside maint. but there's probably an HOA with a lot of rules, same with a condo.

    I was going to suggest this. I have ground the teeth off a Sawzall blade and it cut thru Styrofoam like butter and NO chips or mess.

    pick up a vintage stereo and speakers at a garage sale. you can hook up your phone to it with a 3.5mm x rca cord or listen to the radio. here's mine. just put it in last week.

    I have not been impressed with the few trades people I have hired out. I've done all my own car repairs, most furnace, electrical and plumbing myself, and I am no expert. You tube and the internet have taken the mystery and complications out of it. It just takes me a lot longer. I'm amazed...

    If you mean a caliper, then, Mitutoyo solar powered is what I have. Been using it for 15 years or so. It's probably at your upper level of your budget, but worth it.
