    Light Duty Belt Sander Recommendations.....?

I ran the Ryobi belt sander a bit. Not bad considering it's price point (used $45). It's light and tracked fine. It could use more power but for my purposes it checks all the boxes. I have the Dewalt 20v belt sander which hasn't been released yet (spring 2023) on my short list depending on good...

Keeping Mice Out Of My Drill Press....???

Impossible to seal the house in a practical sense. The house is 183 years old with a stacked stone foundation. Inside the house, rodents aren't an issue at all. If one does get in, they have a death wish. One of our 30 cats (we run a cat rescue/sanctuary) will take care of it in short order. The...

Keeping Mice Out Of My Drill Press....???

Any ideas as how to keep mice out of my drill press? Apparently they believe that it's a great place to sore their seed cache which jams the drill press. Moving the drill press and getting cats (we have a metric boatload) is not an option. Are there any effective repellents? Today I had to...

    Light Duty Belt Sander Recommendations.....?

That was my main issue with my PC. I think the tracking is hit or miss and could be exacerbated by one's choice of belts. Guess I'll find out shortly.

    Light Duty Belt Sander Recommendations.....?

Thanks for everyone's input. I pulled the trigger on a used Ryobi. It was budget friendly and hopefully it runs well. It was budget friendly and probably a fair bit lighter than my Porter Cable. Fingers are crossed that it operates without any issues. To augment my sanding arsenal, I have a DW...

I never considered Ryobi but now it's a contender.

    Light Duty Belt Sander Recommendations.....?

I'm looking for a light duty belt sander to compliment my other sanders. I have an old Porter Cable but it's heavy and has always given me fits with the belt tracking. I'd like to use it on cedar fence pickets prior to router carving for signs. The current leaders are the Rigid, Craftsman and...

    Workmate 425....Poorly Fitting Handles..... ??

Following up, I called B&D and they are sending me new handles. It wasn't the best of experiences. I couldn't understand the customer service rep and I ultimately had to give her the part #. I suppose this is how all companies operate now. I'm skeptical of the new handles resolving the...

    Workmate 425....Poorly Fitting Handles..... ??

On a new Workmate 425, the handles have too much play (for my liking) relative to the screw shaft. Although I haven't taken any measurements, I believe the handle's hole where the screw sits is too large and the handle pivots on the roll pin. I did add a washer to take up some of the slop but...

Dewalt DC608 Not Working With 20v Adapter....?

My DC608 brad nailer doesn't work with the Dewalt 18v to 20v adapter. I've read that aftermarket adapters will work with the DC608. Is this true? If not, is there any workaround?

    TPMS Scan Tools

This might be worthy to investigate. If you are considering replacing the sensors with genuine Toyota sensors, here's what I found that pertains to my Tacomas. It might be the same for your vehicle. Toyota sensors are supplied by Denso and Denso just rebadges them. They are actually manufactured...

What To Use To Make MDF Water Resistant....??

Just to clarify, it won't be in direct contact with the weather, however, it will be subjected to humidity and outdoor temperatures. Think outside storage shed (unheated).

What To Use To Make MDF Water Resistant....??

Thanks for all the replies. I'll try to source some MDO as that might be the least expensive functional option. Plan B might be to make it from solid wood boards. I live in a very rural area and sourcing items locally is sometimes problematic.

I looked into waterproof/exterior MDF. Pricey and not available locally.
