I am about to order my door and I guess it's just me or are garage doors way overpriced? I do have an oddball size, 14X8, but come on. Where are you guys buying your doors? This one is an AMARR LP30 for 700.00 installed. No insulation or opener. What do you think am I getting screwed?

Well I finally sold my little work shop and got it moved. Here are some pictures of the move and the start of the new shop. I don't know where there build pictures for the carport is so I might post them later.

What are people paying for these. I got a quote on a "Overhead Door Company" 8X12, with an "X" on the door and a 3 pane window insert and it was $3000.00 just for the door! What is the deal?

does anyone have a better idea for ceiling covering, besides drywall? i have a rather older building, that is small, dark, and really needs lots of lights. i was thinking of corrigated tin or something reflective. what do you think. oh, and something for the UPPER parts of the wall.

Just curious what new and innovative ways you are using for your storage of tools and other various parts. Here are some that I am thinking of building. Mostly with woodworking in mind, on my part.

I am about to start building a small barn and I am using double swinging carraige doors in the front and a double sliding doors in the back. My question is, if I am going to all this trouble to insulate, how do I seal around the doors. That is where I will loose most of my heating and cooling?

Here's the deal. I live in town and I have lots of restrictions as far as what I can do. So, I can only build about a 18x24 shop/barn. My house is over 100 years old, so it MUST look period to the house. I want a 1 and 1/2 story style barn. Lower concrete for a car and woodworking and upstairs...
