I have 2 55 gallon drums on two corners of our house. They fill up in NO time at all. I actually did some figuring using our water bill the other day. At $0.006 cents a gallon, I save ~$0.66 filling them......... Not going to change my water bill really, However the garden and the other...

    Push mower storage ideas

I'm in the same boat and just found this online: http://www.comfortchannel.com/prod.itml/icOid/7484, I'm thinking of making something similiar - my handles DO fold up on my pushmower. I also have a deck - about 3' off the ground so I've also toyed with the idea of putting a "roof" on the...

Anyone have a fully contained sink?

Thats a great idea - if the tank is elevated above the spout, you don't even need a pump and can wash your hands and rinse stuff off. Gray water can be captured or let on the ground (no dumping oil etc in there)

Where to take dirty shop rags????

ditto - I do mine in the our machine on the hot settings, then run an empty except for soap load to clean out the machine - My wife's only complaint is the smell that occurs from drying them in a hot dryer!!! The rags come clean - but still smell like oil while drying.

Let's See Your Snow Moving Equipment...

We used to have a 212 model with a blade that we used to scrape our 1/4 mile long driveway of snow (and spread new gravel). Been 15 years since I've seen one that even looked like it!!!

What smell do you hate the most (in the shop)

Gear lube smell is bad - EXCEPT when it is out in the garage. It reminds me of the old corner gas/service station smell. Kinda like it - now I would NOT like that smell in the house. I have a 76 Corvette and I get a real bad gasoline fume smell after driving when the tank is less than half...

How Do You Store Shop Manuals?

I have a big rubbermaid tub - that I keep in the basement with all the owners manuals to my equipment and appliances - for shop manuals, they are currently without a home - as I have not fully moved in to our new house's garage - but they'll just be put on a shelf on my workbench/cabinet.

    boat garages

Wow - a sunken section would be cool - You could get REALLy creative and have removable ramps so you could drive your car on the ramps and get down in the sunken part to do your oil changes like a grease pit. But that is just crazy thinking/brainstorming. On a different note - I have seen 3...

    pushmower storage

My neighborhood HOA won't allow outbuildings - so I've been thinking of making something like those Bicycle pully systems to store my push mower up and out of the way. I figure I'd fold down/colapse the handlebar and then rig a way to attach hooks or something do the deck, through eyelets/loops...
