I had my Matco ratchet repaired by my local rep not too long ago for a similar reason and he replaced the head as well. He explained why but I don't really remember. I think it was something to do with the notches/detents for the locking lever.

Ah, that makes more sense. But from what I can find, that's still a good price; as long as you have good Matco rep.

I am genuinely impressed that it's cheaper to buy it from Matco.

That's how I felt about the 3-legged variants. I know some people like them but I could never get them to work.

This is the only style I care to use. They make a bigger variant. If I need anything bigger than that, I use a Ridgid strap wrench.

Do you have or have you used the digital ones from Milton? I have an analog Milton gauge at home and a PLC digital gauge for work. I have been debating getting the Snap-On myself.

Scope rings, scope bases, and other firearms related stuff is what I mainly use them for.

Thanks to this thread, I finally remembered to order a replacement M10X1.5 rethreader tap and die.

This finally came in. This will also supplant my Snap-On branded set, at least until I can get the broken stuff warrantied out or replaced. I use the 19/64" drill bit on a weekly basis so it will be good to have a duplicate...
