I passed :) After further inspection, it looked like the 'rest' for the replaceable jaw insert was sheered clean off, and someone fixed it by screwing in a new replacement jaw, and welding it at the bottom. I have been a lurker on here for a while, and know how the board feels about vices, so...

Should I buy this guys? 28 dollars, jaws don't line up perfect, and the static insert looks to be welded on. No cracks or welds on main body just on te removable insert. Still looking around the store so I have a bit of time. Help!

Not too old, but a few years older than me. It is an 84 Toyota standard cab, long bed. None of those tools fit anything on the truck except maybe a battery terminal.

Found Vaughan hammers for sale at Home Depot today. Got a 24oz and a 16oz ball peen for $21 total. They also had a rubber mallet ( like estwings, with one black and one white face ) for 10 bucks as well.

Picked up an 8pc Metric Gearwrench ratcheting wrench (flat, non-reversable) set for $15 bucks and one of the 5 dollar Crescent wrenches yesterday. Everything else was pretty much ransacked, they did have some of the Gearwrench cross ratchet wrench sets (metric and standard) for 30 dollars, but...
