On a whim I purchasd a RIMAC bearing splitter #1899. I know nothing about company. I can assume since they made some other high precision highly sought after tools that this vintage splitter is quality?

Wow where did you get those? I'm in OKC and I missed them. I picked up a 1/2 hp at an estate sale a few months ago.

The blade doesn't ride on the same shaft as the motor. Any play in the motor itself wouldn't affect the blade. I'm guessing all circular saws (not worm) work this way. There is a gear reduction shaft and the blade is attached to that.

I'm looking at that. Armature isn't the problem as the blade doesn't mount to that. The reduction gear and shaft is the problem. Looks like the assmebly just wears over time and you can no longer buy replacement parts. I may try a small shim and see what happens. nothing to lose.

I use proficient brand in my living room (speaakercrafts installer brand so im told) im no audiophile but im quite happy with them. Friends are envious when watching movies. Its pricey though. 5.1 with a sub was about 1400.

I have a 20 ton and I like it because its bigger. I hate the harbor freight presses because the jacks are cheap and I wouldnt touch those arbor plates. Quality press plates are safer.

I don't wrench for a living but most joint I do I remove the control arm and use a 20 ton press and assortments of tubing/pipe I've accunulated.
