I didn't yet as I don't have one out in the garage. But shouldn't hooking it up to the generator (wired for 110) be even better than a 20a circuit? My generator peaks at around 6300 watts.

It's a 15 amp breaker in the garage, which I thought was for sure my problem. But my generator is 5100 watt continuous, which should be over 40 amps, correct? It's a 15A/110V 7.5A/220V compressor. Maybe it wasn't wired correctly when I had the 110 power cord hooked up?
