    Vintage Craftsman Socket Set Conundrum

Last week, I picked up these two 1/4" Craftsman sets from the early '60's. One is missing a ratchet. The other has a long-lever style included. I have enough pieces and parts to make a complete 16 pc. set. The problem is, there are differences in the way each set was made. The boxes have...

    1970's Craftsman ratchet questions.

Did Craftsman ratchets of this time period come with grease in them? If so, what was the point of the oil port on the top of the ratchet head? I recently disassembled a used craftsman 1/2" ratchet from the late 1970's and found crusted orange-colored grease on the pawl and the main gear. I try...

    Wrench ID anyone?

Not sure if this wrench is even vintage, but because one side is 25/32, I'm going to assume it is. Found it at a HFH Restore. No idea on who made it or when.

    Name That Vise

Anybody know who made this vise? My dad got it many years ago from his uncle in Detroit who worked for and retired from Ford Motor Company. He says it's from the 1930's. I could not find a name on it anywhere...only "No. 104" on the side.

    Craftsman Vise Problem

Hello everyone, I am new to this forum. I recently acquired my late grandfather's Craftsman model 5176 vise manufactured around 1950. While taking it apart to clean it up, I noticed the swivel base is stuck. Is there any way to get the base off without damaging it? The lever on the side moves...
