    pretty much a little of all of those reasons. although i was contemplating going back tomorrow. i plan to turn those side cabinets into a counter system, and thought maybe i could use a couple more. it really seemed to make the manager's day that i bought so much. and i got 8 free flashlights!

    actually if u look at the lift manufacturer sites, a lot only require a 4" slab. also, typical wiring for a two post would be a 20 amp 220v circuit.

    so it sounds like you suggest epoxy and you think it will be able to take the gravel without damage. i guess that's what i would like to hear. my worry was that i would spend a lot of money on epoxy and the gravel would just trash it.

    well, this pea sized gravel is predominantly granite and very hard. also since its small a lot of it gets trapped into most car treads. its not just a few stones. it's like 10 grit sandpaper with the weight of a car on it. the regular house garage has some kind of paint or cheap epoxy on it...

    what floor do you put in? my 40 x 26 ft garage is almost done. my driveway is pea size gravel. the tire treads always pick up the gravel and bring some inside wedged in their treads. i also live in new england where we get snow/salt etc... what would be the best floor for this scenario...

    my garage is a 40 x 26 x 12 ft sitck built. so floor to ceiling is about 13 ft. it's insulated and drywalled. r19 in the walls and r33 in the ceiling. i got a quote for heat, its basically: 30 ft Re-verber-ray 75k btu propane radiant tube unit installed for $3400, vented through roof etc...

    i'm new here, and just discovered this forum. so here's my build so far: this is a 40 x 26 ft 3 bay garage with a 12 ft ceiling. it's gonna have 3 slightly oversized doors 10 x 10 ft. it's a 6 inch slab. plan is for a two post lift in the center for maintenance, possibly flanked by 4 posts...
