    montezuma toolboxes

Hey guys, I got a quick response from Shannon yesterday, here is what he has to say about discounts. This was in response to the ToolVault 56": "We work with GJ members the best we can. Freight rates are so high that there often is not room to discount. For example if you are in New York, New...

Do I need new Screws or new Screw Drivers??

Same here...I really like robertson (square drive) on my 18V Impact Driver. Another square drive screw that is AWESOME are the Kreg screws for pocket holes. They are pricey, but they are self tapping and have more sheer strength than drywall screws IIRC.

Yeah, if hf made a top box my decision would be a little easier.

Tool Vault/Montezuma vs US General 56"

I know! I saw that review a week or so ago and it really gave me a hard-on for the Tool Vault...Still, with no one who can directly compare the Toolvault to the HF unit, its really tough to justify the extra $$.

Tool Vault/Montezuma vs US General 56"

Regguy1, Are you in any way affiliated with Strictlytoolboxes, montezuma, etc? I have looked at quite a few of your reviews/videos/comments and they are all really positive toward the toolvault. I just want to make sure I'm just hearing from a happy customer and not a paid spokesman. Please do...

Tool Vault/Montezuma vs US General 56"

I tell you what man, it seems like people around here are really proud of their used boxes. The 4S boxes I have seen have been $2-3K used...

Tool Vault/Montezuma vs US General 56"

One question about full width drawers...what are you guys storing in them that would require a 56" drawer? I think any of my pry bars or breaker bars will fit in a 40" or less width... I am a big believer in buying right and buying once. I am a hobbyist and think that the value equation of the...

Tool Vault/Montezuma vs US General 56"

I hear ya! I am really leery about buying the Montezuma sight unseen. While its not a ton of money, it is hard earned none-the-less. I'm leaning towards HF unless I hear some really compelling info in support of Masterforce or Montezuma.

Tool Vault/Montezuma vs US General 56"

Yes, I am within 20 min from Menards. I have looked at their boxes, and they are nice. I have not seen the 56" though, they only had the 44" on display. I thought the HF 56" was more substantial than their 44"...is the Masterforce 56" of similar construction.

Tool Vault/Montezuma vs US General 56"

Why do you say this? Bad personal experience with US General?

Tool Vault/Montezuma vs US General 56"

I don't think the lack of a full width drawer poses an immediate concern for me. Its a nice to have but not a must have. I am really concerned with build quality. That's something that is hard to glean from the spec sheets...

Tool Vault/Montezuma vs US General 56"

Hey guys, Sorry for another "this vs that" thread, but I have not found a comparison on this site. Does anyone have any hands on experience with the Harbor Freight US General and Tool Vault 56" rolling tool chests? Is build quality similar? I am really torn between the two, and would like to...

    Gear wrench tools?

The box my wrenches came in said "Made in Taiwan". The tools themselves didn't have any markings IIRC.

    Electrical Service Question

LOL, yeah spelling must not have been that tech's strength. While I was looking at the pictures before uploading, I added a project to my Christmas vacation list...I will be bringing home the label maker from my office to neaten up the panels (and also label my new parts bin in the garage :) )...
