Anybody regret getting wide vs. standard width two post lift or vice versa?

If you have the room get a wider one. The only real world disadvantage would be usingbit on x frame cars. It will take some work on getting the cars perfectly centered. Good call on going with a bend pak!

    Bendpak 4 post lifts

It is not really really a big deal. You only need the air supply for the lowering of the lift. I'd imagine if you have it located in a shop, you'll more then likely have air available, if not try a portable air tank as mentioned. It uses very little air pressure and cfm to activate the locks

look like my bend pak going to trash heap

I'm assuming you contacted bend pak directly and not through a dist? The reason I ask is I find it hard to believe that bend pak would simply not help you.how old is your lift? That may also be the problem,it may not be produced any longer. As mentioned though, you should source out a repair...

    Is Bigger Always Better? (Garage/Shop)

I'd build it as big as you can afford, minus the finishing cost. If you have a 25k budget I'd build the frame as big as that allows and try to finish it as budget allows. I don't think I'm the only that wil tell you no matter how big you build now, you'll wish you'd built it bigger soon enough...
