    Swapping openers.

I moved. New place has a crummy old chain drive opener. I had a really nice belt drive unit installed in the old place. Swap looks straightforward. Both use a single pair for all wiring, so I just have to find positive and negative. Easy peasy. But the belt/chain... Are these cut to fit on...

Keep ulti-mate cabinets, or buy new?

Thanks. Ended up buying craftsman cabinets. They seem OK.

Keep ulti-mate cabinets, or buy new?

I have 2 wall cabinets, 2 base, worktop, and large standing cabinet. I'm a little concerned about moving them for a few reasons: The drawers kind of **** and dont come all hte way out. The coating on them shrinks and peels when it gets warm/hit with sunlight They break REALLY easily I want to...

    Flooring and door collission

That sounds like the best solution. Is that a pretty big project? Wouldn't water get into the top of the door that way?

    Flooring and door collission

So, I'm building a lifting platform. I'm going to use two sheets of 4x8 1/2" plywood as the base, then run a 3/4" 4x8 sheet down the center and rubber on the edges. Total height: 1.25" The problem is the exterior door only has about a half inch of clearance before it runs into the slope of the...

Anyone care to ballpark this work?

Wow! Maybe I will go with conduit, if we're talking that kind of savings.

    That's still not so bad.

Should I try selling my racedeck, or just leave it down?

Hmm, if there is no mildew, maybe I will bring it with me, and do 2 of the 3 bays with my existing material. Though I bet there is. Some of that water was probably under the tile for a week+ in several instances. (Old garage, no slope for runoff.)

    Flooring for garage gym.

Horse stall mat does look like the best option. I /don't/ want a soft floor. I'd rather the floor not compress when I've got a lot of weight in my hands/on my back. I wonder if hte horse mat will expand? My concern is that there will be a power rack bolted through the flooring into the...

Should I try selling my racedeck, or just leave it down?

Old floor is stained, has jacked up epoxy on it, cracks. In the new place? Nah, it's too expensive, and I'd have to use metal tiles in the places I normally use the jack/jackstands. Looks nice though.

Should I try selling my racedeck, or just leave it down?

My old home isn't listed yet. I'm still doing some work on it before it goes up. I don't have any plans for flooring in the new house at all.

Should I try selling my racedeck, or just leave it down?

I never did take pictures after installing it, and now it's completely covered in moving boxes. I suppose I could install it in 2/3 the bays in the new garage... I just don't really want to buy any more tiles.

Should I try selling my racedeck, or just leave it down?

I'm moving soon, and I did my old garage with racedeck. I wonder, do you think it improves home value at all? The floor under it is pretty ugly. The racedeck is a bit busted up where I use a floor jack/jackstands on it, but is overall in pretty nice condition. It'd be a bit more work than I...

Anyone care to ballpark this work?

Thanks 5-800, is that a labor figure only? I'm hoping to get it all in under $1500. Any more and the wife might notice ;)

Anyone care to ballpark this work?

The load center is on the outside wall of the garage itself. Convenient. The attic is accessible. 1 story house. Just a pretty standard built in and finished 3 car garage. No pictures unfortunately. I don't close until next week.

    Flooring for garage gym.

Looks like a pretty good option. If they stand up to hooves, they should stand up to plates.

    Flooring for garage gym.

Moving into a house with a three car garage. Two spots are for workshop/cars. One spot is going to be a gym (Power rack, barbells, powerlifting stuff) So I'd expect to drop ~500lb barbells on the floor, knock plate stands over/all these things. I have racedeck in my old garage. I'm thinking...

Anyone care to ballpark this work?

I normally do this sort of thing myself, but I'm moving into a nice new house, and I have no business monkeying around with nice things. I have a 3 car finished garage. (Sheetrock ceiling) I'm having an electrician come out next week to quote me, but I don't want to look like a total a-hole...
