    10" grinder $100 -NJ

Another of those items I would be all over if I had the room. :( I personally would put a 240V phase converter/VFD on this. For the price I don't see how you could go wrong. http://cnj.craigslist.org/tls/4696169997.html

    Wierd compressor issue.

Ive got a 60 gallon Husky (Campell Hausfeld) compressor I bought used. It was only a year old at the time and like new. The unloader started leaking air when it would shut down. I pulled the tank check valve and noticed 2 peculiar things. 1, the compression fitting on the check valve didn't...

I can't believe I'm excited about a tire core tool.

I picked this core tool up at a local Johnstone Supply. They are an HVAC supply house. Tire cores are similar to HVAC schrader cores so it works on either. It's advertised as made in USA and was only $10. I think it's awesome because it fixes a few problems I run into. When I air my trail...

Why suppliers don't like to sell to homeowners:

The story goes, a local contractor was called to the home by the homeowner who installed the furnace himself. He got a strong odor of gas whenever he turned on the gas ****. The guy who took the picture swears up and down this is a real picture. When I first looked at the picture, I figured it...

Something to consider when running a load calculation.

When I sized the heater for my garage I sized it based on my years of HVAC experience. I installed a 20K net BTU heater. During the recent cold snap I was able to see the ultimate performance. It was 7* out and it ran continuously to maintain 62* inside. I just got around to filing a permit...
