A die grinder is good for small stuff if you don't do a lot. But an angle grinder is still the way if you fab or work on a lot of stuff. Can you brush up on your PPE, technique and safety to make it attractive again?

And a heads up the "Round Up" brand is no longer glyphosate, it's other chemicals which are more toxic and less effective. Glyphosate is still for sale (not at HD or Lowes though) but you have to look to find it.

I've used TSP to clean my fireplace bricks, just wear gloves. I think a pressure washer will require some skill to avoid damaging the bricks. They are surprisingly soft when under a heavy stream.
