Who makes 'Mastercraft Maximum' tools for Canadian Tire?

Topic says it all, just curious if anybody knows who makes the Mastercraft Maximum line for Canadian Tire? They seem pretty nice. I'm guessing a decent factory in Taiwan? Thanks Tim

Canadian Content: What brand of kitty litter/oil dry do you use?

I've searched on this topic and have read lots about what the folks in the US use, but what about us northerners? What do the Canadians on this site like to use to soak up oil spills/stains?

Curious about this as well (my stained concrete garage sealed and stained would be a nice change)

Can I fix my engine hoist jack cylinder?

Update, just took the ram back to Princess Auto and they gave me a new one (didn't bother mucking with it). Glad I did because they gave me a much better ram, 8 ton longstroke. So smooth and pumps up WAY faster than the original. Regarding the vise, works good but I really doubt it is the...

Can I fix my engine hoist jack cylinder?

Wilton vise? I wish... that is just a cheap vise from Canadian Tire. When it was purchased it had a lifetime warrenty.. but now the same ones they sell do not, so not sure how that is going to work out if I bust it. The blue paint is chipping off quite easily as well, not too concerned. It...

    Princess Auto Necessities?

Just go have a look around, you'll find tons of 'little' things that will come in handy. As far as big ticket items.. probably not much different than Harbour Freight. I find the Power Fist power tools to be quite good for the price, they have always exceeded my expectations.

Can I fix my engine hoist jack cylinder?

Thanks for the help guys, I'll grab some hydraulic oil and see if I can fix it up (less hassle then taking it back). The brand is the house brand from Princess Auto (basically Canadian Harbour Freight). I do have a question though, what is this plug with a slot in it for:

Can I fix my engine hoist jack cylinder?

No signs of fluid leakage! Thanks clueless, so this will 'bleed' the ram? Does my problem sound like a air/bleeding problem? Thanks Tim

Can I fix my engine hoist jack cylinder?

Used my engine hoist / cherry picker last night for the second time since ownership (purchased last summer/fall). The darn jack cylinder would raise an inch or two (stroke) and then just stop. I'd pump it'd raise 1/16" to 1/8" and then just come right back down. Like it was 'stuck'. I'm...

    3/8" drive impact sockets or 3/8" x 1/2" adapter?

Grey Pneumatic's sound great.. but I'm having a real hard time finding anybody that sells them in Canada. Any Canadians here reccomend a spot to buy these at the similar prices to the tooldiscounter.com prices (which are great!) Thanks Tim

    3/8" drive impact sockets or 3/8" x 1/2" adapter?

Hey guys, For those using a 3/8" impact gun, do you use 3/8" impact sockets (hard to find!) or just your 1/2" sockets with a 3/8"x1/2" adapter (impact adapter of course)? Thanks Tim

1/2" Impact Comparison: IR VS. Aircat

Anybody else have experiance with the Nitrocat 3/8 or 1/2" in a shop environment. Is it down on power or just not as snappy as a new IR? Giving up 100 ft-lbs for the cost savings seems reasonable.. but I don't want to lose 100 ft-lbs every year?

Do router speed controls lose torque?

Hey guys, Looking for a straight forward answer: When using an add-on variable speed control designed for routers with a universal AC/DC brush type motor, does one lose torque? If so, is it drastic? Considering picking one up to control the speed of a drill, electric die grinder, small...

    SK Pro-Gun 3/8 impact or Snap-On MG31

Ok, for the guy who wants to spend ~$200 on a 3/8 impact we have the IR2115TI. What about for the guy who wants to spend ~$100??? Looking for compact/light and fairly air efficient (I'm not looking for something as good as the IR above, I understand you get what you pay for). Is there...

    Source for disposable gloves

I don't bother with Nitrile gloves anymore unless I'm doing really fine detail (small tiny screws/etc). And even then I don't bother as the really fine stuff usually isn't that dirty. I use these So durable, you can get insulated as well. I find for most jobs I have enough dexterity as...
