    Bangkok Thailand - My Garage2010

I discovered this thread a couple weeks ago and read the entire thing in one sitting, then again the next day haha! You have an incredible and inspiring story to go with it and the results are amazing! I've been working years on an "all-in-one" garage-house design and thought I finally got it...

    TV in the garage

Nearly every electronic device has both the operating and storage temperatures listed in their owner's manuals and/or company website. The main problem though is condensation forming when inside a cold room. Shipping isn't an issue. They almost never get below 30°F on ISO container from Asia...

What tools do you carry in your vehicle?

Where did you find the canvas roll up? Thanks! Harbor Freight currently has this on sale for $159.99! I may go get one and skip the headache of having a bag full of tools. All the wrenches are essential. I daily drive a 90's BMW but in the process of building a race car using a 1975...

What tools do you carry in your vehicle?

Whether it's for my own vehicle, helping someone in need, or a spontaneous trip to a junkyard, I always have tools with me -- I can't bear to be more than a few minutes away from home without tools! In the attached picture is everything currently in my tool bag and I'm determined to find a...

    Simple & Cheap Workbench

It should be fine for what I'm using it for. If not, I do have an extra top. Also have a 7' long solid maple butcher block style top but last minute I decided to use the $3 top and save the maple for another project. Same here! Unless you find a good deal on a used work bench, $100 doesn't seem...

Buying a house based on garage....priorities!! 3000Sq Ft of paradise!

I recognize the Nova from Caffeine & Octane in Atlanta! It looks like the deck, stairs, column, and beams were all existing when the garage was built -- I would have loved to hear that conversation when asking to build a 45,000± cubic foot heated and cooled single room addition lol!

    Simple & Cheap Workbench

Stopped by a local salvage building supply and found folding table tops for $3 each. They're 24" x 72" x 1 1/4" MDF with a laminate top and plastic edge protection. Didn't have a plan at that time but for the price it was worth picking up a few! After a couple weeks of them sitting in the...

remodeling 2 floor 50 car garage with tons of Games

The first thing that needs to be established is what your requirements and expectations are. I would start out by listing each and every thing you want to do and have in the space and go from there. Personally, I would put the cars and the "adult" area on the lower level and reserve the upper...

    Project 818 Preparation

That brick fireplace is the best part of the garage! It's begging for a blacked framed automotive print to be mounted on it with a museum light!

Incredible work Luca! I have an obsession with old buildings and love all the details you put into this one. Did you happen to draw any floor plans or elevations of it?

Are your garage pics on this contractor's website?

I started a Facebook page called Dream Garages as a place to store and share all the garage photos I've saved over the years. I try to credit all owner's and/or photographers when I can or share the link to the original source. If someone sends me a pic I always run a Google Image Search on it...

Are your garage pics on this contractor's website?

With a background in construction, engineering, architectural design, and photography there are few things that irritate me more than companies that steal photos, especially in the construction industry. This "contractor" (GC license lapsed) is located near Atlanta, Ga. and had absolutely...

    World's Most Beautiful Garages

Looks like people are getting confused again, let's see if I can help this thread before it bombs like the other one: Garage [ga⋅rage] –noun 1. a building or indoor area for parking or storing motor vehicles. 2. a commercial establishment for repairing and servicing motor vehicles. Origin...

This will Make you feel Inferiour

The ridiculous attitudes and blatant BS in this thread amuses me. I remember when a "garage" was a place to park vehicles with minor work and a shop was where the real work was done. Just like many of you say you wouldn't work in a place like that, I say I would never leave a car like those...
