    fleet ratchet?

Procured a ratchet today, been sitting in this guy's tool box for ages he said. It's a smaller handled teardrop ratchet that has "fleet" written under the head. Any info on this company?

    Beam torque wrench questions

I like beam torque wrenches (deflecting beam) more than the clicker type whenever it's possible to use them. I was wondering, do these type lose calibration? I've heard you just need to reset them to zero, but I never have to because mine always stay at zero even when I torque them to the...

    Tie rod troubles

Did an outer tie rod end yesterday. Whoever did it last must've put the nut on at over 100ft lbs. Laying under the car jacked up, barely any room, and I couldn't back it off at all. I even tried using a pipe extension on my crescent wrench and it wouldn't budge. PB blaster and still no go...

    Plastic tool chest?

Is anyone aware of a plastic tool chest (with drawers)? Something light. I know they make plastic tool boxes, but I'm looking for a chest. Those new craftsman metal chests look flimsy. Don't want to spend a ton. I keep all my tools in a wooden wardrobe right now. Running low on space and I have...

    Torque wrench calibration

If a torque wrench is only used moderately, less than 40 times a year, or not used at all, does it still need to calibrated yearly? What would be the longest time I can expect one to be accurate without using it?

    Torquing with impact sockets

For torquing hub nuts (say 30mm) would it be okay to use impact socket, or a 3/4'' socket with an impact adapter from 1/2'' drive (1/2'' torque wrench)? Would it provide an accurate reading? I'm torquing up to 200 ft lbs so I'm not so sure that any flex from an impact socket is going to throw...
