    Prep under freeflow/ribtrax

I had the same concerns with my floor before putting down freeflow. I always had dust, ants, and spiders in the garage so here is how I prepped my floor. First I filled all of the cracks in the concrete and where the wall meets the floor. I used a caulk gun with A DAP product for concrete. It...

    RD Free flow question

When working (lying) on the floor of moving a trolley jack around or whatever, how comfortable is this stuff to lie on versus just a cement floor? I think it's a lot more comfortable. From time to time I need to get under my boat trailer to inspect the bottom of boat. On cement, it's hard to...

Racedeck install in Salt Lake City, Utah?

There is no plasticky noise when walking on Freeflow, unless maybe if you are wearing plastic shoes. I'm sure someone in Utah would be happy to show you their floor.

    Cutting Racedeck Tiles

A tablesaw works great, especially if you need to take like 1" off a bunch of tiles down one side of the garage. I picked one up off craigslist and put a new blade on it. I would be happy to pass it along for $30 if your in the mid-Atlantic area.

    "general" RD questions

993guy I would put a clear sealer on it if you got RD or not. Regarding the maxjax do you move it around a lot? I would put it on the concrete then install the RD around it. You may need to cut a few tiles depending on where you put it and the size if the posts.

    White GarageDeck tiles?

When I was researching floor choices I learned white floors were not a good choice because they really show dirt and stains. What I did to keep it bright and reflective is Daytime Flouresent bulbs. They really brighten the garage!

    Racedeck Freeflow is Awesome!

Hey Guys thanks for all the compliments. The more time I spend in the garage the more I like the new flooring. Defender90 - The floor doesn't necessarily "reduce the dust" being created, you just don't see it anymore. Any dust or dirt simply stays below the tile surface keeping it looking...

    Racedeck Freeflow is Awesome!

Since I've been creeping on this site for about a year now getting ideas for my garage, I thought I would post the results to maybe help others looking to do the same. Thanks to everyone at Garage Journal who submits posts. The previous owner of our house built large wooden shelves using about...

    Perforated tile

Me Too! I felt like every time I stepped in my garage I was sweeping dust and dirt. I got some basic clear concrete sealer at Lowes and mopped it on. I also sealed the edges with some Dap concrete caulk. Then I installed my RD freeflow tiles... It worked out great!

Floor Suggestion for a New Guy

In my previous life I used to do similar termite work. We would plug those holes with those plastic plugs, but then go over with hydrostatic cement to patch. I would cover those plugs with cement or epoxy patch and smooth over before doing any type of floor covering.

    Ribbed or free-flow tile

SteveCh, how difficult would it be to remove a freeflow tile from the center of your floor? Say if one got damaged or stained somehow. Could you remove one and snap another in place?

Finished my RaceDeck FreeFlow tile project!

Slowbra your garage looks great. I'm in the process of researching the flooring options and Racedeck freeflow is at the top of the list. I have about 570 sq ft to cover. Just curious...why did you lay the tiles out on the driveway before installation? I would think it would be easier to just...
