    Sweeping the floor

First, I don't have a big shop, just a 3 car garage. I gave up sweeping a long time ago. Leaf Blower. Faster, easier and better.

    Wiremold and ceiling fan

Actually, all of that. I want to mount the fan control on the wall (heck, the ceiling will do too because I will only be accessing it at the beginning and end of winter). I'm not sure if the depth of the box will fit and was wondering if anyone else knew. I have no experience at all with...

    Wiremold and ceiling fan

I have installed a ceiling fan in my garage. It is just plugged in to the same receptacle as the garage door opener. Is there such a thing as a fan control switch that I can use with wiremold? In other words, it's not really hardwired so it won't be recessed into the wall.

Should I install a ceiling fan to help bring the heat down from the ceiling???

Yes here too. I noticed exactly the same thing as you did when I was going up and down my ladder. That was last winter. I put a fan in during the summer and I note now that it is cold, the heat is not stuck at the ceiling as it was last year. Just a cheap industrial fan, but it does the trick.

Which drill driver and impact driver combo kit?

I just bought that Milwaukee kit a few weeks ago at HD. I love it, but haven't used it that much yet. Look online. There are lots of reviews out there. I was just looking at a Tool mag yesterday in my local grocery store that had a review - said the Milwaukee drill was very good.

Lighting for a 3 car garage

I have a 3 car garage. The only lights are three 100watt CFL bulbs spaced above each parking spot. I want to put much better lighting in there. I live where it can get down to -40 in the winter. I want flourescent. Any ideas? I don't have any more room than a 4ft long. Saw these at my local...

    Should I go get this?

It was a Snap-on tool box, just the bottom, on wheels. Looks like it was pretty wide. Could have used a clean up though.

    What type of drill bit..........

No way could I drill it. I used my Dremel and actually cut off the entire portion around the grub screw. Took about an hour and quite a number of cut off wheels, but if came off. Thanx for the suggestions.

    What type of drill bit..........

......should I use to drill out a set screw? I have a 1973 MGB. One of the mirrors is pooched and I have a replacement. I don't care what happens to the old one. There is a set screw that holds the base of the mirror to a gasket which is screwed on to the door. The set screw is giving me...

mitering trim, not coming out right, any advice?

A good miter saw is essential. I had an old Delta and just got rid of it. Bought a big honkin' Bosch this year and what a difference. For baseboards, I go non-traditional and cheat. I use this and can cope any baseboard in about 3 seconds. Believe it or not this thing works wonderfully. I've...

What would you put in a tool box?

I wish my father had done this for me. I have two teenage boys. When are they going to move out? Who knows. But right now I am starting to put together a basic tool box for them for when that day comes. Right now I have two sets of • Screwdrivers • 184 piece Socket set (metric/sae) • Saw •...

When did you start buying tools

I must have been around 12. I lived with my mom and two sisters and they couldn't do anything around the house so I had to "survive" on my own that way. I now have lots of tools but want to make sure my two teenage boys have what they need to start out. Right now they can use whatever I have...

installing fans in sheet rock ceiling

You guys are going to flame me for what I just did - today as a matter of fact. I bought an "Industrial Fan" from Princess Auto. It is meant to install in a metal ceiling rafter. To hang it, a metal j hook is designed to go through a hole in the rafter, then bolted from the top. The fan then...
