    Who's a lineman?

My question is why do you want to be a lineman if money is not the priority. If you are serious I would suggest you enroll in a lineman college like NWLC or similar. This will help you get a feel for what you are getting into and help you get accepted into an apprenticeship program.

GovDeals.... Is this lot too good to be true?

It basically makes the online auction like a live auction where bidding continues until no one is willing to bid any higher.

DP replacement motor recommendations on Clausing 20"

Assuming the variable speed reeves drive is functional I would go with a single phase 1.5hp Baldor and use the variable speed on the machine. May even be able to pick up a used clausing single phase motor on eBay for cheapish. Might want to contact clausing with the serial number and verify...

    New lawn mower

You must have been deep in the shrubs to get the mulch/bag lever to move as it has a pretty good spring load on it.

Recommend me a shop vac that isn’t Craftsman and works well for auto detailing…

Shopvacs are another you get what you pay for tool. Sure the rigid will get the job done but it is clunky and loud (even the quite model). I agree with the above comment a fein or Bosch or makita or even nilfisk are a much better alternative to the cheap shop vacs we have become a custom to...

You guys think Wilton and fireball vises are expensive

No joke. I would have already ordered one if it was $1500 shipped or less. It reminds me of the old Chas Parker 439.

You guys think Wilton and fireball vises are expensive

Good news no VAT and shipping is only $150-$200 by boat. So I should be able to squeak the 4in in around $3300.
