    Who made me?

Statistically, probably early P&C though I do have a couple of examples like that from other companies.

    Let's see your Herbrand!

Ebay sighting. Kind of interesting as the box still identifies these probably war time restriction, 8742 Vanadium free alloy wrenches as Chrome Vanadium.

    Vintage Ephemera

Is the patent I showed even correct? I didn't really look at it. I see the one you're showing has R.C. Morris's name as the patentee and he appears as being one of the Holland Steel "directors" on the letterhead.

    Vintage Ephemera

So besides having the cool letterhead / product illustration this overdue invoice letter cracks me up...Dec 24 1927...Not just Christmas Eve but also a Saturday. Frickin Old School....Just hope Scrooge let Bob Cratchit add a little coal to the stove. Anyway, might be the same patent as Bull...

Plomb tool picture thread - show your stuff!

Listed under Plumb/Plvmb. I sent that listing around to people I know who I thought might not have seen it but I guess the $70.00 + $10.00 was more than they were willing to pay. Usually only see these one at a time...Did you have any before these?

    The vintage Blackhawk Thread

Thanks. The designer of the badge did a good job, I like the stylized "L" and "A" on either side of the California Bear. About that patented handle...I have an old auto jack with one of those collapsible/ folding handles that has that same American Grinder patent handle. I think the Jack was a...

    The vintage Blackhawk Thread

Saw this on Facebook Marketplace...think it's been there awhile. Looks like a rough old Blackhawk socket case ( you know, the type with "Bottom" embossed into the bottom side) with a 20's era Los Angeles Auto Assoc. badge.

Navy NAF Stock Number 39XXX-** Hand Tools

So this would be the WW2 version of Owatonna’s NAF contract breaker bar. I believe their pre-war NAF breaker was numbered 377938-6 or something close to that. Obviously this only has the correct 1110-2 number and not the USN NAF. The earlier ones had a “N.P. “ prefix before their 3XXXXX-X...

Plomb tool picture thread - show your stuff!

ebay auction for 1948 Plomb newsletter or whatever and I noticed the G.M.C. (diesel- electric locomotive) corresponding numbers for the Plomb tools are 7 digit #'s beginning with 8. Pretty close to that 1" drive socket that shows up every now and then with the funky hex cross hole. I'm sure...

Plomb tool picture thread - show your stuff!

Hi Roy. Yeah, I'm sure we could amass dozens of "exceptions" to the widely recognized rules and come up with various plausible explanations from multiple production facilities, contractors /tool types, employee mistakes, undiscovered code meanings, overstock, oversight, not giving a ****...
