Picked up a few of Dad's old tools from mom's house last week. I think Dad bought these back in the early 70s, if I remember. A set of open end SAE wrenches and a set of metric. Plus a set of 1/2 SAE sockets with 77 ratchet and an adjustable wrench.

So, some of you know we had a little battle with Hurricane Helene in these North Carolina mountains back in September 2024. River flooding took away my 24' enclosed trailer and a huge collection of Thorsen, Billings, Bonney and Husky sets. My shop and garage received 5' of flood water and everything was topsy turvey by the time the water receded. Well, thanks to a very strong magnet and a shovel, I just found several Thorsen wrenches and my completed #1214 set. The wrenches cleaned up pretty good but the 1214 set is gonna need some more love. Very happy to recover these...made my day! Gonna have to get a new metal detector cause the one I had in the garage was non-recoverable.

Brian, Thanks but I think I have three of them on the display boards already! Now, still missing some screwdriver and pliers for those boards so if ya run into any of that let me know. Funny how the Southeast has tons of Thorsen sockets and drivers but I never see the screwdrivers and pliers anywhere.
