    New Masterforce compressor knocking help!!!

I think it’s the belt slapping under load. With that said it’s already pretty tight how freaking tight does it need to be. Seems like I would have to loosen motor mounts and stick a pry bar in there to really tighten her up. If the general consensus is that it’s the belt I’m gonna leave it alone...

    New Masterforce compressor knocking help!!!

Since it’s pressure related the only thing I can think of is maybe the check valve for the tank maybe it starts to stick once over 100 psi. I was just wondering if anybody else had any experience with this particular noise at pressure Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    New Masterforce compressor knocking help!!!

Brand new 60gal 3.7 Hp single phase belt driven compressor knocks once over 100 psi. Did the break in per instructions. Maybe this knock is normal for this compressor was hoping to find some advice from guys that know compressors. If this isn’t normal want to return immediately and exchange it...

I’m going to start a new thread for this issue but my new compressor is knocking once it gets over 100 psi. Maybe the check valve or the engine valves. Don’t think it’s a rod bearing maybe a wrist pin. Like I said this thing is brand new, but maybe normal for this unit. Let me know what you guys...

    Back stab, no back stab?

I didn’t take the time to read other replies but from personal experience stabs are horrible. They can loosen over time and I’ve personally had to find outlets in my own house looking for a lose connection causing some serious electrical issues. The ******* that made those connections must have...

Yes sir I’ve been reading about that tonight. Can I just run the 10/2 through a flex whip to a metallic or plastic junction box. Compressor will be less than 5 ft from breaker box. The breaker could technically be the “shutoff” right. Thanks for your input sir. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

The placard said 240 15 amp. Technically could get away with 12/2 20 amp breaker. Will make it future proof with 10/2 30 amp breaker. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Going to hardwire it and I’ll use 10/2 if necessary. Short run. Flex conduit to a shutoff or box.. I was surprised it was only 15 amps but figured cuz it’s a 230 circuit. Still need to read manual and see what max draw is on startup. I would imagine these newer machines have soft starts...

Decided to return the door opener and buy a compressor. It’s a garage I can open the door by hand. The compressor is a much better investment IMO. Masterforce 60 gallon 3.7 horse 230v 15amp I can get away with a double pole 20amp breaker and 12/2 wire which is nice. On sale for 469 Sent from...

What to go with?Pole Barn or Stick built Garage

Bringing up an old thread. I built a stick built garage and paid for all material this past July right before the spike in lumber prices. I have a buddy that had to postpone his build because of the lumber cost and availability was terrible. With the way lumber prices are going is it...

    Wiring a 30x26 scissor truss 12’ 2x6 wall shed

Went over board and spent the extra money on 15’ 6/2 wire and ran a true 50 amp recep. Just need to wire up a box above where the lift is going to go and a ceiling fan. Also need to wire a shutoff for a air compressor. 10/2 30 amp dedicated circuits for lift and compressor will be fine from what...

That’s just great stuff window and door pro so I use a gun. Stuff goes a long way. Ya a lot of work but I’m just tinkering keeping the drafts and mice out. Thing is over built but rather have it that way then under built. I got my lumber right before the price surge thank god. Sent from my...

Thank you sir. Ya like I mentioned before I’m going to run two switches one for each side and also an entry light right above and to the right of the door so I don’t need to turn the tanning booth on to grab a beer or tool. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
