Looking for a suspension bushing tool

My current bushing puller kit: I can usually get the middle section of the bushings out, but finding the right size washer for the shell is always a task. I don't want aluminum, I want steel, with a smallish lip so it doesn't slip off, and preferably a center hole like 3/8 or 7/16 so I can...

    Bronze ratchet

My old Sidgwick book on the chemical elements and their compounds describes beryllium sulphate as tasting sweet! I believe Be is only toxic in the fumes/dust scenario, giving you lung cancer. You also want to be careful with tellurium bronze - I know a guy that got Te into his body and he...

Looking for a suspension bushing tool

What are you using grade 9 sometimes, or something else? I was using double-height grade 9 nuts with fine threads to do the actual pulling and it worked out really well.

Looking for a suspension bushing tool

I've been looking for is a set of thin push/pull plates with a bit of a lip around the edge to help center. Anyone know where to source something like this from? I've been looking on and off for a year now and not getting anywhere. Something like in the pic but with a lip, and a small center hole.

    Warning - DeWalt Miter Saws

I got the DWS780 which was an extra nearly $200 for the light and a stronger locking handle at the back. But I'm super happy I did coz that light is freakin awesome. It's a shadow line on the wood and by definition it has to be 100% accurate. I only wish it was easier to move the thing around.

Is there significant difference between different off-corner loading designs?

I got my Koken socket set a few months ago and was shocked at how loose the sockets were. I almost sent it back. But I did a quick test and compared it with my snap-on equivalent and was surprised that the koken won hands down. I was using 6021 aluminum as a softer material to not destroy the...

There were 3 still in stock in Amz when I got mine. I wonder if 3 more people here picked one up?

    Recommendation for Oscillating Multi Tool

I have the Dewalt corded oscillating tool and its one of the very few in tools in that brand that I am not impressed with. Same for their blades - their wood and nail and bimetal blades are dead after one SS or deck nail. If anyone can recommend a decent hardened-teeth blade let me know.

    Bronze ratchet

Ryno - fingers crossed for you. If they figure it out, the item will suddenly be a 'no longer in stock' problem and they'll tell you it not available. Is your shipped yet? Is it from Amazon directly or another seller? Mine was shipped and delivered - same day - from Amazon after 2 days of...

    Portable tire inflator suggestions

If you do go for the DeWalt, I'd recommend one of these bags, it's super nicely made and you'll just want to hug it. It sits flat, and there's room for a can of vulcanizing fluid and your puncture tools.

    Bronze ratchet

This is actually brand new. But mine-sweeping is on their list of uses. They are not only non-magnetic (e.g. around NMR machines), but also non-sparking, like inside a gas tanker or flour mill.

    Bronze ratchet

I bought a tool that I likely will not use for a while but I could not resist the price, I think someone missed off one of the digits since another seller wanted $330 for this. It's an interesting contraption - there is no switch for on/off. And the cogs are 30-degrees a click, I assume because...

Yeah as far as I can see no-one in the world sells these.

    Stahlwille Tool Thread

Got this a few days ago and love it - 3/4 drive metric - $300 on ebay. I was reading about them and they don't use Cr-V, it's just chrome steel. When I compare to the snapon equivalents, the swivel is a bit more substantial in the Stahlwille, and there is zero gap on the join, unlike snapon...

    Good Torx screwdrivers? (not bits)

Will a T-handle fit? These are great and made in the USA. I have the set. Solid as a rock.

    Tools of Japan

What do you guys use these for? I think the only time I used mine was to undo a nut that was below something, sticking upwards, and I could only access it from above. Like a U-shape extension bar. It may have been for an EGR pipe on a LS400

    Tools of Japan

I see you got some of those little 90-degree socket adapters! I use to think SO were the only ones to make those (expensive) little contraptions
