OP, I have a similar one and tried to put it on casters but they buckled the thin metal bottom of the cabinet. I would recommend building a wood platform (like a large version of a movers dolly), put the casters on the wood platform and the cabinet on top

FWIW, on the house we just built we went with 7/16" OSB, 24" OC and 8/12 pitch and it seems fine as far as I can tell. We have a covered back porch which is only 4/12 pitch and I wish i had gone with thicker than 7/16" on that area. If you have a low pitch you might consider a thicker OSB.

In my opinion, it really depends on what you want to do with your space. If it were me, Id park the wife's car in the attached garage and build the biggest detached I could afford for my car(s) and other stuff!
