    Blocks arrived. 12" blocks for the full perimeter to accommodate a brick ledge. 12" required on rear wall as its 8 blocks high.

    Playset gone, ready to start digging footings. Two issues: 1.) The lot backs up to wet lands, so I couldn't bring up the grade....so I had to build a stepped foundation. 2.) The city only allows 900sqft...but I was able to negotiate an extra 100sqft.

    Bought our house in 2007 with the idea that I would always build a detached workshop. Many other projects took front seat (pool, kids playset. basement, etc). Well the time has come to sell the playset and start the garage. (FYI this projected started 11/2020.) Good by playset

    got my dream garage completed and was able to test out the floor drain. Living in MI, its so nice to be able to wash a car in the winter! anyone else wash there car in the garage?
