MAC tools now made in Taiwan?

Couple of days ago I ordered some tools from MAC to replace some older ones I had lost or didn't have. The whole order turned into a disaster. Issue #1 - I wanted to replace a 3/8" 14mm 6pt deep socket I lost out of my set. The one I lost was a model XD614MM. They don't have that exact model...

    Craftsman Pro Flare nut wrenches?

Hey guys, I currently have some CMan raised panel style flair nut wrenches but I've never cared for them much. My Combos are all CMan Pros ("k" marked) and I would like to get a complete set of US made Cman Pro series flair nut wrenches (preferably "k" marked) but my local Sears and Ace's only...

Hey guys, With all the talk about Knipex pliers around here I had to check them out. Now I already have a bunch of mostly Snap-On and Channel Lock pliers but I'm always interested in quality tools, especially something different that I may not already have. The first thing they make that...

Cresent brand made in china now too?

I was going to pick some Cresent brand adjustable wrenches for my sons tool kit the other day but stopped once I realized that these were made in China now? When did this happen? Are there any sources left for US made Cresent wrenches? Is there a better US made alternative now? Thanks

    Torque Wrench question

I want a new 1/2 torque wrench to be used for working on cars and building AR's (rifles). I want a quality US made tool that will last and can be trusted but not break the bank. This will be a low use, non-production tool so top of the line is not needed. I was\am seriously leaning towards a...

    Lets talk about compressors

Here's the scoop, I need a real compressor to run an impact wrench, air ratchets and drill and hopefully a cut off wheel, die grinder and maybe even a DA sander and media blaster (Tools listed in order of most likely to least). An HVLP gun would be really nice too. I have been putting off this...

Hey guys, FNG here checking in. Been browsing this site for a while now and figured I might as well Introduce myself before jumping. I use to turn tools for a living (bodyshop for a short time after HS and then later as an automotive electronics installer) now I'm an IT Professional but that's...
