Opinions on the Vise-Grip Locking Wrench?

I'll take a set, hook a brother up. Lol I have a big pair at work and there are times that they are real handy. Of course I did read that you said NOS US made, because if they aren't I don't think they would new worth the space that take up in a tool box.

Why no automotive love for industrial brands ? (Proto, Wright, Williams etc.)

I will repeat what I see as the biggest reason, service. Everything else is a factor, but when the truck pulls up and has the tool you need with payments available, how can you pass it up. Plus curbside warranty makes the service that much nicer.

Chain Hoist vs Chain Lever Hoist

You can hang the chain fall (chain operated) from overhead and use it to raise or lower a load the lever hoist lends itself to horizontal loads where you have access to the hoist I don't know of any other differences, its all about access. Also the chain operated one tends to bind if you try to...

best bang for the buck wrench set

Up to 1 1/4 at low price pretty much rules out everything except harbor freight, they have that set in a roll for cheap, I find it hard to get a good price on sets that go past 7/8 they are just not that common.

I have an Armstrong that is my go to ratchet for every day use, and I'm sure that this slick tool would take it's place, I haven't written any reviews on GJ yet, but I wouldn't have any problem using a 120 XP around the shop for a while and reporting back with my thoughts. What kind of scan tool do we need?

It looks like the autel Maxi diag elite might be low cost enough for you to buy on your own and then sell to your boss when he sees it turn into more business. It would be prudent to check for the ability to do the specific tasks that you require before shelling out the cash for it, but it would...
