I have my dad's old Crafsman 1/2" drill that's at least 45 maybe 50 years old. But it was made back when they built things to last. This one will also break your wrist it has so much torque.
I also have a Milwaukee 1/2" drill thats 30 years old and works fine.
I bought a cheap mig welder once. Never could get it feed the wire smoothly. It was a waste of money.
Buy a brand name they are more expensive but well worth it. You won't go wrong with a Hobart, Miller, Lincoln, ESAB, or Clarke.
Lift is in the shop and in use for storage. Will be ordering a 2 post soon.
Thanks to Terry 38Chevy454, Earl, Jesse, Tom R and Tom S, and especially my wife Robin!
Finally had time and a good weather to put up the lift. Deviated a little from the written instructions just make things easier.
The lift came very well packed.
Layed the posts down and inserted the cross bar and lift them up instead of standing the posts up and dropping them in.
Tilted...
Picked up the lift today at the Yellow Freight terminal. Used the gantry crane to unload it off the car trailer. I'm busy the next 2 weekends so it will be a while until I can put it together.
