I gotta stop going to Lowes...

I love Lowe's....went in after Christmas to get a drill press, band saw, benchtop belt/disc sander and a mitre saw. They didn't have all of them at the first one I went to, so down the road I go to the next one (there are 6 in my area, all within a 30 mile radius, and I live in NW Arkansas)...

    White Pegboard vs. Drywall

If you are taking your walls down to bare studs, consider putting in blocking between the studs for added strength for hanging your wall cabinets or whater ever else you might want to hang on the wall. Definitaly insulate if you don't find any when you take the old stuff off.

    vintage kitchen cabinets...

I owned and operated a store in our local mall for a while and there was always things being set out by the dumpster from stores remodeling or just getting new display cabinets, all the time. I hauled home this one unit that was actually four shelving units (there were two attached side to...

What is the primer body next to the vette? It hints of prancing horses but I can't tell.

I vaguely remember that show...I also have the book and I think there are several garages that appear in both print and tv.

Went To Costo, Pics And A Question

The stores are concerned about competitors coming in taking pictures in order to steal their ideas. I used to work for the largest retailer in the world, in the architecture group, as well as merchandise planning group. We would go to competitor's stores to check them out. On several...

Very nice. I should have no problem replicating your design based on your dwg. Thanks for taking the time to draw it up.

    Stackable sawhorses

I'd like to see a dimensioned profile drawing. All I have right now is the metal clamp type with 5 pcs. of 2x. I hate them.

    Mickey's Garage

I love those cabinets. You did an oustanding job refinishing them. The slide show was good, but I'd prefer to view the pics at my own pace. Would probably check them out a little longer. Great job!

    Finally!! Garage Makeover (Pics)

Nice setup you have there. The two large cabinets flanking the unit with the TV are really impressive. Are they homemade or manufactured? Where did you get them? I like the dart board and wall treatment....I'm guessing you patch lots of holes before you go on a bike ride!

    Garage grids

Your product looks nice, it seems a bit pricy though (for me atleast). Mostly your product just doesn't suit my needs and possibly the needs of others on this board (I don't want to speak for everyone though). I want something I can work on and store stuff in but can close up out of site. I'm...

Very nice Stinky! What material did you use? Did you work off of plans or make them up on your own? If you have plans, I'd like to know where you got them. Thanks, Jason

    Boat House garage

That's pretty nice. What lake are you on up there in NJ? Do you have a large community of classic boats. What kind of boat do is the wood one? My dad has a 1937 Chris Craft 19' Custom Runabout. He hasn't yet, but he's going to build a nice large 2 story boathouse at his property on Grand...

Couldn't afford Lista Cabinets, so -

Do you have plans for those cabinets? Those are awesome! You did one heck of a job. They look like something you'd find from a retailer. Maybe you need to go into business. I'd love to see a write up with details on how to build those. My brother just got a welder and he/I need practice...

    Woodworking sites and books

I started searching a while back for woodworking projects, although I never really have time right now to start much less finish anything. Anyway, I just googled "woodworking", "freeplans" and a couple other variations of woodworking terms, plus specific projects such as "workbench". I came up...

Sorry to bring up and old thread, but I bought a bunch of peg hooks in various styles from Big Lots really cheap. Just a thought.
