    Anyone use these garage cabinets?

While the stuff does look nice, it's made by O'Sullivan who makes pretty low end office furniture. All their stuff is laminated (either vinyl or melamine) mdf type stuff. In my experience, it does not hold up well in the long haul. They make make other higher quality stuff, but personally I...

Best way to move a 2-post lift?

When you say "neighbor", how close is he? If he's within a few blocks and you have no major roads or intersections, I'd rent a bobcat with forks (rather than a bucket front loader) and take it to your place one piece at a time. You should be able to get by with a one day rental. I'd wrap...

    My Garage Adventure Begins

I can' believe you let your wife influence a Garage Decision!... Just kidding, the color selection does look pretty good. What's going on with the exposed blocks? I've never seen them exposed like that before. Are you going to cover them up with anything?

New Family Handyman Magazine - "DREAM GARAGE"

    Making driveway 2 feet wider...

If you plan on parking on the new section on a daily basis, I would not go with those environment pavers. The grass there will surely die. I parked my van beside my driveway, in the grass, for about a year. 3 years later the grass is still struggling and just looks terrible compared to the...

    options for concrete block walls??

You might consider the cost of lumber, drywall, mudding/supplies, and paint could go along way in paying a mason to fix/finish your walls for you and it would probably be done in a day or two versus a week +.

    Black epoxy floor...any thoughts?

I voted no...but I think it depends on the application. If for a working shop no, but I do think it would look good in a "show" garage...so my vote is "It depends.."

    Rasing the ceiling

You really need to talk with someone before you make any changes like that. The prefab'ed joist were designed or spec'd specifically for you application. At most you need to talk with a structural engineer...at least you need to consult with a contractor with experience dealing with...
