    Double shear joist hangers or flat nail joist hangers?

    I'm building a mezzanine in half of my shop. I have attached a 2 by 8 ledger to the studs on one wall and it will span 14 feet over to a very large(4 ply 1 and 3 quarter by 16 inch) LVL.     5/8" or 3/4"?

    What beam do I need?

    Am building a mezzanine in my shop. Will be used for storage and maybe become a small suite in the future. Is anyone able to tell me the size and kind of engineered beam I would need to span 30 feet? Thanks

    What size engineered beam

    Good day everyone . Wondering if anyone would know what size beam to use for my mezzanine/ living area in my garage. The span would be 20 feet long. The span would run parallel to the wall which is 15 feet away. Will be using joist hangers to attach joists to side of beam. Thanks for any help
