Time for a new miter saw, need a slider

It's going for 650 on Amazon with the corded adapter no batteries. Which is about the same as the Bosch glider goes for but you have the added flexibility of going cordless. Not bad if you already bought into the 20v system.

Time for a new miter saw, need a slider

With all that said after a year I have no complaints with the Bosch. But I kind of wish I waited another year. The dewalt flex fuel and the coming Milwaukee full size cordless sliders would have been on my shortlist.

Time for a new miter saw, need a slider

I replaced my 20 year old Makita ls10 something or other last year. If I could have kept I would have. But after years of abuse in the back of the truck, left out in rain and snow on the job site it's time was up. There was/is nothing quite like it available today....lightweight compact slider...

    Cupola/roof deck/crow's nest/etc

Being on the roof it gets full exposure to the weather all the time. Paint fails, boards twist and rot quicker etc. And since its on the roof it's harder to get to and do the repairs/ongoing maintenance. Not so bad on lower pitches but a PIA on steep roofs.

    Cupola/roof deck/crow's nest/etc

We call them things a widows walk around here... Go for it if you want and can design something that is attractive architectural addition to your property. In reality though most of them get rarely used and are a maintenance nightmare.

I have a 30' wide garage with two ten foot doors. It's perfect for two cars and some benches along each side.

Bought a tracksaw. Will I still need a circular saw?

As others have said you'll still want a circular saw...but ill add that if you are right handed get one with the blade on the left.

What's on your walls? Neat storage ideas!

Here's what I came up with for spray paint can storage. Simple piece of 3" pvc cut at a 45 angle and one screw through the bottom. <a data-flickr-embed="true" href="https://www.flickr.com/photos/142792876@N05/albums/72157668259276615" title="Paint and spray can storage"><img...
