    Craftsman impact wrench part

Just an update. The wrench is repaired! I called Florida pneumatic who manufactured the tool. They were extremely helpful sending me some parts which they though might help. None of them worked for me. Then I contacted powertoolrepairohio.com who looked up their inventory. To my surprise they...

    Craftsman impact wrench part

A lot of great ideas! Did not want to pull the bushing out until I had a replacement. I tried to get it out the other day and used a pick to try and pull it out. It was in there good. Did not want to destroy it. Guess it has to come out to get some measurements. Maybe, some home fabrication...

    Craftsman impact wrench part

The bushing where the valve seals against is all dried up, so there is air leaking past all the time. The part number on sears website says it is obsolete.Part number 40 #8700880. Think I can get this seal/bushing from somewhere else. Can it be that specific to that wrench? Can easily replace...

    Oxy - propane

What size cutting tip would you have in the torch for an automotive shop? Heating and cutting stubborn bolts and nuts. Exhaust, flanges and anything else that gets in the way. Was looking at a Smith's website and found their charts for oxy/propane tips. Which tip would you have in your torch...

    Two post lift suggestions please

Thank you to everyone. PBON I can place the top plate in the rafters. The floor joists do run parallel to the top plate. So, the Rotary At07 is not off the table as an option. It is 11' 11'' so there will be 11'' in the ceiling. That will place the overhead head switch in the ceiling about 3...

    Two post lift suggestions please

I have been trying to install a lift in my two car garage for a while now. After a lot of thinking it over, here is where I stand. I am limited to 127'' width and I have a 11' ceiling but have a beam which runs parallel to the overhead switch which limits the cars max height to 10'. So, a...

    Two post lift. So confused?

Partsguy which atlas lift are you using to prefer the xpr10a? Is there a reason why you prefer it over the atlas 2 post? Thank you for explaining how the pins work. I feel much more confident now. Those teeth shown never break if used properly.

    Two post lift. So confused?

Yes, the arms were in the air when being moved. Stupid question now. When the lift is lowered all the way will the pins need to manually pulled up to adjust for different loading? Or will they swing freely and lock when it goes up? They did not have any electric hooked up when I went to look.

    Two post lift. So confused?

Was sold on the idea of a Atlas Apex 10. Went down to the nearest Greg Smiths to check it out. Really loved many of the features of this lift. Double s shaped columns made it compact and sturdy, came with screw in adapters and truck extensions, single point lock release, 2 and 3 stage arms and...

    Caster repair.

Thank you all for the help. This is my repair, know it is not pretty but it should hold. Welded the notch where the clip was to reinforce the cracked area. Then tacked the washer on top.

    Caster repair.

I appreciate all the help very much. Some day I might invest in a lathe. Many years back I made a few pieces even took a class. For now I used a step bit to open up a washer. Took a few pictures. Did not weld it yet, not 100 percent sure if I want to go this route yet. Out of curiosity, to...

    Caster repair.

Yes you are correct there is a screw inside. Caster has a spring inside so it can move up and down. You are also correct about the width of the groove. It has become very loose because of the the width. The wheel is riveted on the yoke and I prefer not to take it off because then I would be...

gorilla that is a true repair but I don't have a lathe. Just a guy with a grinder and mig. Ole Slewfoot looks like that will be my last resort.

That spot where the e clip goes is also where the crack is. The metal is really thin there. Do you think after the Tig weld the e clip will go back on?

    Caster repair.

Had this automobile jack for some years now. The other day as I was rolling it the caster fell apart. Went on the internet to find a replacement - discontinued. This was an expensive jack and I don't want to see it go because of this reason. I have access to a mig welder but need an idea how to...
