    Bought some nicholson files today

it is a dissapointment when you go to buy tools that always were top of the line and US made to boot ... only to find out they are made elsewhere ... automatic loss of confidence in the quality ... the files may be as good as the US made ones ... but the confidence ain't there anymore ...

anyone ever made a ramp to load your scoot in a pick-up truck?

I use a 2"X8" to put my Harley's in my pick-up. I did make ramp ends out of 1/8" steel plate which made it eaiser to get started up the ramp on the bottom end and I made the front so the steel plate laid up on the tail gate and the board against the tail gate so the board couldn't push up into...

Anybody else call a breaker bar a hinge wrench?

I heard of them being called "break loose bars" and "flex handles" but I've always called them "breaker bars" because that was the name it was called when I first learned of them. I've never heard them called a "hinge wrench" though. I wouldn't have a clue what someone wanted if they ask me for...

    1.5" and 2" extensions useful?

I almost always grab a short extension when I'm using a socket and rachet. I have one that came in a 3/8" set that is about an inch long. The collar of the female end is almost touching the back of the socket on the male end. I use that one quite often to get a little more clearence for my big...

Keeping prying eyes out of your garage

I use the limo window tint ... my only windows are in the big doors ... it looks natural in day light and you can't see in ... at night if the inside lights are on you can see in the garage ... not the best security I know but it beats nothing ... at least I'm home when you can see in

Paint recommendation for metal work table.

I have a steel fab table I used High Heat header paint on. The paint acted more like a dye than paint. No problems grounding through it. I tack and weld on top of it. It also protected it from rusting. Many of the industrial paints coat the metal so much you cannot ground through the paint. This...

    Craftsman or Vise-grip

When I started using locking pliers I don't think there was any but Vice Grip. I have wore out quite a few sets in my life but I've always been pleased with the use I got out of them. I've always replaced them with Vice Grip brand but it was because that was what I was used to using. Craftsman...
